![]() I’ve tried crossing with a variety of trucks and combinations of upgrades like a stronger engine, a snorkel and off-road tires. I can’t imagine this is a mistake, but it’s hard to see any purpose to having this odd frictionless section present on both shortcuts! Terrain with this effect is not present anywhere else in the game. It’s a painfully slow slog across that piece of land, but immediately after passing it, the truck returns to normal function, traveling 20-40 km/h off-road, along swampy areas, and generally driving normally. I don’t know if anyone has been played this great game, but I hope enjoy the map anyway. For whatever reason, when the player is near this narrow landmass, their truck loses all grip and is unable to travel at more than 1-2 km/h. I’m based in the map of a game of my childhood Hard Truck 2: King of the Road. In each shortcut the player must traverse a super narrow piece of land, flanked on either side by swampy water. The routes are relatively easy to traverse in Hard Truck 2, but in the King of the Road expansion there’s something strange about the shortcuts. In King of the Road, there are 2 off-road shortcut routes that connect the Mercury-North Harbor highway with the River Valley-Eastwood highway.
